STATUS In Progress
Amsterdam will soon have a new Urban Interactive District (UID). This mixed-use development seamlessly integrates living, working, shopping, and leisure with green public spaces to create a vibrant and dynamic 24/7 space in the southeast of Amsterdam. C Concept Design is representing the developer, Ballast Nedam Development, in a collaborative effort to realize this mixed-use project covering 2.5 hectares and featuring one of the highest towers in the city’s skyline.
The project also includes 30,000 m² for interactive leisure and theater, 20,000 m² for office space and 18,000 m² for a hotel. Finally, approximately 700 starter homes will be built, spread over four residential blocks and connected by a public square. The overall design concept ensures that the integration of new urban planning fits into the existing fabric of the Arena area. The result greatly enhances the neighborhood’s position as an entertainment hub by supplementing the existing large leisure functions with smaller leisure and urban facilities.
